Minhla β Five Rohingya human trafficking victims were arrested by the security forces in Minhla Township of Magway Region on January 29, 2020, according to sources.
The group heading to Yangon was arrested from a taxi at the Milestone (215/1) of Pathein-Monywa Highway.
All the trafficking victims are from Shwe Pyay hamlet, Alel Kyun Village Tract of Kyauktaw Township and their final destination was Malaysia.
Each of them is charged by the human traffickers 30,000 Kyats to reach Yangon and 25,000 Kyats to reach Malaysia.
Including the current group of five, so far, 200 Rohingyas are arrested in Minhla in last three years.
Recently several other groups reached their destination, Malaysia. According to a victim, interviewed by the RVision, the human traffickers are offering business class services while trafficking the Rohingyas from Northern Arakan to Malaysia.
