Yesterday, dozens of Rohingya parents and relatives participated in a demonstration to release their detained sons and relatives, who are in detention centres of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, since 4 β 5 years.
In the protest, they urged and pleaded to the Saudi King and crown prince for taking immediate actions to set the detainees free.
Detained Rohingya entered Saudi Arabia with a passport from different neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Nepal and others, provided by agents and brokers.
This improper documentation issue made them trapped in Saudi detentions for years, as they are denied citizenship in their own country, Burma.
