Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh: Rohingya refugees demanded justice and safe repatriation, with the hope of returning soon to their homeland on this World Refugee Day (20th June 2019) in makeshift camps of Bangladesh, reports refugees from several makeshift camps.
Several rallies and gatherings were observed on this world refugee day by Rohingya, who are residing as refugees.

Many large and small get together were seen in camps like Kutupalong, Leda,
“We do not want to stay as refugees and we hope on this world refugee day people listen to us and give us a solution,” says one Rohingya elderly in a rally at Kutupalong makeshift camp.
In regard to world refugee day Rohingya organization working in the camps such as Voice of Rohingya – (VOR) and Arakan Rohingya Society for Peace and Human Rights (ARSPH) have released statements as well.
VOR’s statement highlighted Rohingya refugees demands and justice for the genocide committed on them and it also urged for a safe and dignified repatriation of Rohingya to their homeland.
The statement also listed down genocidal operations on Rohingya by the Burmese armed forces since decades.

The latest wave of Rohingya exodus started in late 2017 when Burmese armed forces carried out mass killings, gang rapes and widespread arson on Rohingya with βgenocidal intentβ.

Last year, repatriation was denied by the Rohingya refugees, which was signed between Burma and Bangladesh without taking a look on Rohingya’s deserved rights, justice and safety in their homeland.
