Two Rohingya died on the spot in a large weapons explosion in Payzi Hamlet in Ward No. 01 in Maungdaw Township, Arakan State of Myanmar on the 10th of July 2024 at around 10 o’clock in the night.
A source reported that the Arakan Army (AA) intentionally targeted Payzi Hamlet in Ward No. 01 with a drone, and a drone bomb hit the house of Soyed Korim, located beside the big mosque in Myo Ma Ward. The attack caused two Rohingyas to die on the spot and many others to be injured.
Rohingyas, including children, the elderly, and women, are being killed daily in large weapons explosions and drone attacks amidst the clashes between the AA and the Myanmar military in Maungdaw downtown.
The AA is intentionally and deliberately attacking Rohingya villages to vacate the Rohingyas from their respective villages and homes. They are utilizing heavy weapons and drones to force the Rohingyas out of the villages in Maungdaw downtown.
Similarly, the Myanmar military is also pressuring Rohingya residents of Maungdaw downtown not to vacate their respective villages. As a result, the Rohingya villagers are stuck amidst these clashes.
