The Rohingya Muslims in the northern part of Maungdaw, Rakhine State are being extinct due to various persecutions by the Rakhine criminals from Arakan Army (AA) and the armed forces of military council, the suffering locals report.
The Rakhine criminals, members of AA, from Phawa Chaung and Ye Myat Taung villages north of Maungdaw often enter the Rohingya villages of Ngan Chaung and Kyaik Ro Pyin in deep night without informing the relevant village administrators.
After that, they forcibly enter into the compounds of Rohingya houses breaking through fences. Then they criminals try to kill and rob the Rohingya in the guise of frog hunting.
The local authorities have also released the Rakhine to torture the Rohingya from all sides, a local Rohingya reported to Rvision .
On last September 28, after breaking through the fence of the house of Ngan Chaung village administrator U Win Htay, eight Rakhine criminals were breaking the door at around 10 pm. But they failed to commit crime and had to run away as the family members were crying loudly for help.
In the same way, an attempt was also made to break and enter the home of former village-track clerk Nazumul Hoque. As the movement of miscreants is increasing day after day, the villagers are living in fear and anxiety, the local said.
Due to the torture and the atrocities committed by armed groups of the military council and the terrorists such as the Arakan Army as well as the looting of Adul Hakim’s Gang, the Rohingya Muslims are on the way of extinction, the local added.
Rohingya people are now in dilemma. If they complain to AA about the ongoing violence, the military council’s armed forces will torture them. If they complain to armed forces, AA will torture them to death, the local added again.
