Tragedy struck in Kutupalong Refugee Camp as a Rohingya refugee lost their life in a devastating car accident. The incident, which occurred on March 6th, 2024, in front of the MSF hospital on the main road, left six others injured.
While the identities of the injured remain unconfirmed, the deceased has been identified as Mv Mohammad Ediris, a Rohingya refugee residing in Camp 14. Ediris, originally from Morukkum, Maungdaw Township, tragically succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision between a Tomtam car and a truck.
The injured individuals have been admitted to the MSF hospital near the accident site, where they are currently receiving treatment. Four of them are reported to be in critical condition, with uncertain chances of recovery.
Authorities are yet to determine the exact circumstances of the accident and whether it involved individuals from the Rohingya or host communities.
