Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh: A brick-loaded truck hit a shelter, killing two Rohingya and injures three more in a makeshift camp at cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh today (19 July 2019), reports a Rohingya from the scene.
At around 08:45 AM a brick-loaded truck hit a shelter at block-D-5, camp no. 2 of Kutupalong makeshift camp, where the tragic incident occured.
The dead and injured Rohingya,belongs to a single family.
The dead victims are wife of Anwar: Shamshida, 35 and her 2 year old son Khaisor.
Three critically injured Rohingya are Anwar S/O addul Majed, 45 and his two daughter Farmeen, 20 (she is pregnent) and Rasmin, 17.
Both, Anwar’s wife Shamshida and son Khaisor died immediately after the truck hit the shelter. The other three were rescued and were taken to a nearby hospital.

According to local witnesses, they said the injured three members of the family were rescured in very critical conditions and they may not live even after treatment.

Road accident and death of innocent Rohingya became a common scene in the overcrowded makeshift camps of Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh and lives of Rohingya are seen to be taken for granted.
