Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh: Two Rohingya families were arbitrarily arrested by Bangladeshi police from two separate makeshift camps on 6th August 2019, reports a member of VOR.
A family with four members, sheltering at block-DD-6 of camp-3, Kutupalong makeshift were arrested by Bangladeshi police at 4:00 AM and were taken to Ukhia police station.

At the same time, another family with three members from Bracย Extention camp-4 of Kutupalong makeshift was arrested in a similar manner, according to their relatives.
After two days on 8th August at 9:00 am, they all were taken from Ukhia police station to Camp-3 police station and there six were released at around 12:30 am. But one Rohingya named Fokir Ahmad S/O Muhamad Siddique is not released yet and is in their custody.
The released six were identified to be (1) Abu Bakkar Siddique,25, S/O Fokir Ahmad, (2) Aynamullah,20,S/O Fokir Ahmad, (3) Nayeem Ullah,18, S/O Fokir Ahmad sheltering at DD-6 in Camp-3 and (4) Hasina Begum,27, wife of Zakir Ahmad,(5) Kosir,3,(her daughter),( 6) Azimullah,4 months,(her son) sheltering at Brac Extention camp-4 of Kutupalong makeshift, Cox’s Bazar.
According to their neighbors, both the families were innocent and the reason of their sudden arrest could not be traced yet.
