Buthidaung, Arakan: At least 29 Rohingya were Killed in a helicopter attack by the Burmese military and more 50 Rohingya were critically injured on 3rd April 2019, reports a victim.

At around 3:30 PM Burmese Military’s helicopter attacked at the hills of San Goe Taung (Sai Dan), where around 100 Rohingya went to collect firewood before 2-3 days from the near by vilages (Da Pyu Chaung,Hpon Nyo Leil,Ray Ship pyin) with authorities’ permission.
Among the killed Rohingya, 4 dead body were found and 13 injured Rohingya were admitted to Buthidaung hospital.
Other undiscovered Rohingay are presumed dead by the locals and their body also couldn’t be recovered.
Among the injured, only 2 Rohingya were identified and named Saber and Waris belonging to the same family (both are brothers).
According to locals, only Rohingya villages are targeted in their ongoing fight between the Burmese Army and Rakhine rebels.
On the same day in the morning at around 9 AM few Rohingya houses came under the launchers’ attack between the ongoing fight of the Burmese Army from Batallion no. 551 and Arkan Army (AA) rebels in Ray Ship Pyin village of Hpon Nyo Leik (Fuimali) village tract, at south-east of Buthidaung Township.

In the ongoing fight usage of launchers and explosives between the Burmese Army and AA rebels have been targeting and trapping Rohingya houses and areas, making thousands of more Rohingya homeless.
