Rohingya are being abducted daily by the Arakan Army (AA) in Arakan State, Myanmar.
Three Rohingya, residents of Kyaw Hle Kha hamlet in The Chaung Rohingya village, were abducted by the AA on May 30, 2024, at around 2 PM.
The abductees have been identified as Abdu Razak, son of Soyed Akbor; Saiful Kolim, son of Abdu Razak; and Mohammad Hamid, son of Soyed Akbor. All three are residents of The Chaung Rohingya village in Kyaw Hle Kha hamlet, northern Maungdaw Township.
Abdu Razak owns a market in The Chaung village, Saiful Kolim is a businessman managing shrimp ponds, and Mohammad Hamid is a market owner in Minglalar Gyi village.
It is reported that the three abductees have been taken to the AA base camp in Pyin Pyu, under Naymay 6 in northern Maungdaw Township. They remain in the custody of the AA and are not allowed to meet with their family members.
The AA has been targeting Rohingyas with adequate livelihoods, abducting them with baseless accusations of having connections with the MyanmarΒ military.
