Buthidaung, Arakan: A pregnant Rohingya woman was shot on her belly and injured critically in Burmese military’s ongoing fight with Arakan Army (AA) today (21st April 2019), reports a source.
At about 1:30 PM a Rohingya woman was hit by a bullet in her home while she was performing prayer. The victim is identified to be Senowara Begum (25) D/O of Muhammed Amin San from Thay Pyin (Kyauk Yant Taung village) of Kyauk Yant village Tract, Buthidaung Township.
Following her critical injury, her relatives tried to save her and the unborn baby by admitting her to Buthidaung general hospital. Unfortunately, the baby’s life could not be saved due to severe critical injury in the fetus.
Earlier on 18th April, another Rohingya man was killed in an anti-personnel landmine explosion in Buthidaung Township.
At the beginning of this month, dozens of Rohingya were killed and injured in a helicopter attack in Buthidaung Township by Burmese armed forces.

Due to ongoing fight and fear in the region the remaining Rohingya are extremely terrified and are hiding with their families in the jungle in extreme inhumane condition.
