It is reported that Myanmar military troops entered Arakan State, Maungdaw Township, Nyaung Chaung, and Shwe Yin Aye villages this morning and set them ablaze.
Myanmar military troops from Nyaung Chaung village and Shwe Yin Aye villages near Maungdaw Township on May 9th at about 5 am.
Due to this fire, many houses in the two villages were burnt, and most of the villagers were fleeing to safety in fear. A total of 8 people died, including a pregnant woman, and several locals were injured.
In addition, local people are fleeing their homes due to intense clashes between the Myanmar Military and the Arakan Army (AA) near Maungdaw Township.
