Buthidaung β During clashes between the local rebels and government military in Sin Thay Pyin hamlet of San Goe Taung village tract, Buthidaung township, a Rohingya man is seriously injured by shelling believed to be fired by the military on February 5, late night.
The victim is identified to be Ataullah, 33, son of Kala Mia hailing from Sin Thay Pyin, San Goe Taung of Budhidaung township. (the featured image)
As the injuries are very serious, the man is rejected by the General Hospital of Buthidaung and transferred to Maungdaw General Hospital where he is under treatment, according to a villager.
The clashes occurred following the mutual accusations between the rebels and the military of intentional victimisation of Rohingyas.
According to reliable sources from the ground, Rohingyas are targeted by the rebel army and government army equally.
