AA fired heavy artillery that landed in Rohingya villages in Maungdaw Township, Arakan State, Myanmar.
Three artillery shells fired by AA landed near a bridge between Ward No. 02 and Maung Ni Rohingya village in Maungdaw Township on June 21, 2024, at around 10 PM.
A young Rohingya man, around 20 years old, was wounded when the artillery shells landed near the bridge between Ward No. 02 and Maung Ni Rohingya village on June 21, 2024, at about 10 PM.
The young man succumbed to his injuries on June 22, 2024, as he sustained severe wounds on several parts of his body.
A resident stated, “The man could have recovered, but he couldn’t receive medical assistance as the roads were blocked and the hospitals and pharmacies were closed.”
The artillery shells fired by AA came from the direction of Pan Taw Pyin Rohingya village, where AA is positioned. The AA is intentionally and deliberately targeting Rohingyas and their villages under the guise of attacking the military, even though there are no military forces present.
