In a recent development, it has been reported that the Arakan Army (AA) issued an order for Rohingya villagers residing in Mee Chaung Kaung Swee Rohingya village to relocate to neighboring villages on March 30th, 2024.
According to sources, the Arakan Army gathered the villagers at the Basic Education Secondary school within the village, with attendance from the village administrator. The directive stated that all residents of Mee Chaung Kaung Swee Rohingya village must relocate to nearby villages such as Mee Chaung Zay and Nga Yant Chaung Rohingya villages by March 29th and 30th.
Reports indicate that the evacuation of the entire Mee Chaung Kaung Swee Rohingya village populace to surrounding areas like Mee Chaung Zay and Nga Yant Chaung villages took place early morning on Saturday, March 30th.
Furthermore, clashes occurred between the Arakan Army and Myanmar military in Wasilla Rohingya village and Nan Ya Gone Rohingya village on March 29th, resulting in the unfortunate deaths of four Rohingya villagers, including a woman, with several others sustaining injuries.
A villager recounted that four Rohingyas from Wasilla Rohingya village were among the injured during the exchange of fire between the Arakan Army and Myanmar military on March 29th. Despite efforts by villagers to transport the casualties to a hospital, they were allegedly denied access to medical treatment.
