On August 3, 2024, at approximately 1:20 PM, the Arakan Army (AA) intentionally attacked Rohingya residential areas with rockets in Ka Yin Taung Rohingya village in Maungdaw Township, Arakan State, Myanmar.
A rocket fired by AA hit the house of carpenter Shomshul Alom, resulting in severe injuries to his entire family, with some members in critical condition. The injured have been identified as Mohammad Aziz, Nojea, and Sheik Mojid, all children of Shomshul Alom and residents of Ka Yin Taung Rohingya village.
Additionally, AA deliberately targeted an Islamic institution in Ka Yin Taung village, causing significant damage to the institution and leading to the collapse of several houses and buildings.
