A mentally ill Rohingya man was seriously injured in a landmine explosion in Maungdaw Township, Arakan State, Myanmar, on June 23rd at around 1 PM.
The wounded man has been identified as Monir Ahmed, a resident of Shwe Zar Mazar Deil Rohingya village in Maungdaw Township.
According to a source, Monir Ahmed unfortunately stepped on a landmine planted by the Myanmar military while he was walking towards Gunah Rohingya village. The explosion shattered his legs.
The source reported that Monir Ahmed is currently in the hospital. However, his condition is critical, and it is feared that he may not survive due to the severity of his injuries.
