A Rohingya girl was slightly injured by an explosion of heavy weapons in Ka Yin Taung Rohingya village, Maungdaw Township, Arakan State of Myanmar, on July 15, 2024.

The injured girl has been identified as Shorifa Bibi, daughter of Huson Ahmed, and a resident of Ka Yin Taung village. Shorifa Bibi sustained a minor injury to her left arm due to a large weapon explosion. Fortunately, she is out of danger.

The intense combat between the Arakan Army (AA) and the Myanmar military involved the use of heavy weapons and drones. These weapons were deployed in Rohingya residential areas, leading to explosions that have killed many Rohingya and injured countless others.
