Buthidaung, Arakan: A travelling Rohingya woman was killed by Border Guard Police (BGP) in a checkpost at Buthidaung township on 20th May 2019, reports a villager.
In ward 1 of Buthidaung downtown, a Rohingya woman named Setara D/O Fawzal Haque,55 years was killed by BGP near the checkpoint at Buthidaung’s new bridge.

They killed her on her way, while she was travelling to Kun Taung village on 20 May.
Later on 22 May her dead body was found in a field at Kun Taung village and her body was heard to be taken at Buthidaung hospital.
Details of the incident and her family could not be traced yet.
Killing travelling Rohingya in checkpost and other bases of armed Burmese forces have been going on since decades, and till today no one was ever held responsible for such inhuamne crimes.
